A note from Scentsy's Owners

One of our bleakest moments was the day we had to raid our children’s piggy banks to buy groceries.

We were a young family of seven, out of credit and money, and building a new business while slowly paying off a $700,000 debt. We didn't have many options, but we did what we had to do to put food on our dinner table. There were countless nights when we ate only macaroni and cheese; a good night was when we were able to mix peas into the pasta.

There were countless nights when we ate only macaroni and cheese; a good night was when we were able to mix peas into the pasta.

Food insecurity isn’t a far-away problem. In fact, one out of six Idahoans doesn’t know where his or her next meal will come from. Fortunately, our family never experienced that degree of hardship, but many people in our state are experiencing it now—maybe even your friends, relatives, neighbors, or co-workers.

People tend to donate to the Idaho Foodbank during the holidays, but fewer donations during the summer make now a time of great need. At its current rate of food distribution, the Idaho Foodbank could run out of food in August.

Together, we can help. Scentsy is pledging $300,000 as a community match for every dollar raised for the Idaho Foodbank. With your contributions, we can raise up to $600,000.
